I am fascinated by the possibilities provided by laser cutting for producing lacelike ornaments from metal, which I use to create monumental organic sculptures. Since 2005, I have collaborated with Laserle to create numerous sculptures and installations for my exhibitions as well as 13 public sculptures, including Gaia, Helsinki Music Centre 2011 and Lumen, Aalto University, 2018. With a public sculpture, the entire production team is always facing something new and unprecedented. Laserle has been a brilliant partner, and they have tackled the technical challenges of the works open-mindedly and realized even the most demanding projects reliably in solid cooperative spirit.
